Wine + Ice Cream = Love
There's no better excuse to go wine tasting than when friends are visiting from out of town (like I need an excuse...). On the way to some wineries, my friend and I stopped at Cayuga Lake Creamery, where we pregamed with strawberry chardonnay ice cream made with nearby Knapp Winery's chardonnay. What a seriously great idea, joining the awesomeness of wine and ice cream!
So. Tasty.
Stop by the Creamery, right off of Route 89 along the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail. In addition to the strawberry chardonnay, we loved hazelnut and Jittery Snickers, a coffee ice cream with pieces of snickers (fittingly).
Coming soon: my interview with Lars Mudrak, head brewer at Bandwagon Brewpub in downtown Ithaca, whose High Step Weizenbock recently won an award for the best craft beer in New York!
